Chain Haven doesn't have full blockchain functionality on the front end (this site). This is coming very soon, but you can still interact with the vaults through the steps outlined below.
Choose which Haven you want to enter and click the Deposit button. These instructions will work for any Haven.
Remember you will need your own ETH wallet to deposit into a vault/Haven. This is due to the smart contract sending back vault tokens representing your portion of the assets within the vault. Recommend MetaMask, Argent, or a Ledger hardware wallet.
You can use ETH to enter any of the vaults/Havens. You can also use the Haven’s denomination asset, wBTC for HAVEN.BTC — wETH for HAVEN.ETH. But ETH is the single currency that can be used for all.
You will be taken to the Haven’s smart contracts on a platform called app.enzyme.finance. We utilize Enzyme smart contracts.
Until we include full functionality on site, this vault/Haven page is how you can deposit, redeem, and track performance. You may want to bookmark the page.
In DeFi you must always connect your wallet to the Dapp (Decentralized application). At the top of most DeFi Dapps you will see a "Connect Wallet" button.
There are two ways to connect your ETH wallet to a Dapp and it depends if you are trying to access the Dapp from the same device your wallet is on or a separate device.
If your wallet is on a separate device— using a cell phone for your ETH wallet, and using a laptop/iPad for the Dapp — then you will choose the "WalletConnect" option (image).
NEXT YOU WILL SEE A QR CODE TO SCAN. SCAN IT FROM YOUR ETH’S WALLET SCANNER (all mobile crypto wallets have a scanner feature within the app).
*For instructions on how to access Havens from the same device as your wallet go to “Other Options” section below.
Once you scan the QR code a pop-up will appear in your ETH wallet. Select connect.
Pro Tip: Always make sure the connection is the correct/legitimate Dapp website. Verify this before you connect any wallet to a website/Dapp.
Now that you are connected to the Dapp, you can select to deposit or redeem (if you have already deposited).
If you use ETH to get into the Haven, the smart contract will convert it to the correct token in the background.
Click "advanced setting" and recommend inputting 1.5% slippage, check the agreement box, and click deposit.
It's best to choose between standard or fast when making this transaction / deposit.
Once you click "Submit" you will receive another pop-up in your wallet asking to confirm the transaction. Make sure all inputs are correct and then select allow or confirm.
Transactions can take 1 min or 10 depending on the time of day. Once the transaction has gone through you will receive back the corresponding Haven tokens (HAVEN.BTC, HAVEN.ETH, etc.)
If you know the transaction went through but you do not see these tokens in your wallet, don’t worry. They are there, it's just your wallet provider not being able to read them. Contact us and we can show you how to input the smart contract address to display the HAVEN tokens.
From step 3 above, if you are accessing the dapp from the same device as your wallet, this section should help you.
Most ETH wallets have an in-app Browser function. This pic is of a MetaMask wallet. Once in your wallet’s browser, type or paste one of the vault URL addresses…
HAVEN.BTC: https://chainhaven.com/haven-btc
HAVEN.ETH: https://chainhaven.com/haven-eth-1
…and follow the steps above. The only difference will be step 3-Connecting to Dapp. You will not choose "WalletConnect", you will instead choose your wallet as the option to connect directly. Any problems please contact us.
